The Great River Ride is back this fall on Sunday, October 8, with the same great routes as well as a gravel route and a Winery Ride. All rides include rest stops with snacks and our famous “Spud Stop”. Once the ride is done, there will be a post-ride celebration at the Sons of Erin in Westfield.
The Great River Ride is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Columbia Greenway Rail Trail (FOCGRT). Participation and support enable FOCGRT to continue its efforts to make Westfield bicycle friendly and add amenities to Westfield’s trail network.
The Great River Ride has been rated as “one of the best century rides in the USA” by Bicycling Magazine and the League of American Bicyclists. “Gorgeous but grueling” is Bicycling’s description for what we believe is the most challenging century in New England. This is a must-do event for any cyclist.
