The Carousel Museum invites young women and girls to discover their STEAM power at the “Girls In STEAM” event on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 1PM to 3PM. Hosted at 95 Riverside Avenue, this educational event is designed to spark interest and excitement in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics.
Participants will engage in a variety of hands-on activities:
Interactive science experiments
Engineering tasks
Creative arts projects
Mathematical games
A special demonstration by the Bristol Fire Department on the mechanics of firetrucks using water pressure
This initiative aims to empower and inspire young women by exposing them to the possibilities within STEAM fields and demonstrating practical applications of their studies. Each participant will receive a diploma at the event’s conclusion, celebrating their achievements and encouraging their continued educational journey.
The event is free, thanks to sponsorship by the Women and Girls Fund at the Main Street Community Foundation. It underscores The Carousel Museum’s commitment to educational outreach and community engagement.
