Guardians of the Grand Contest Rules!


These are rules for Lazer 99.3’s Guardians of the Grand Contest. The grand prize is $1000.00. Listeners can enter by logging on to Lazer993.com starting Tuesday, October 22nd at Noon, and filling out an entry form for the contest, and submitting an audio or video file of them performing a song (solo) using an instrument featured in a marching band (brass, woodwinds, and percussion), before the entry deadline of 11:59PM on November 3rd 2013. One entry per person, audio/video must belong to individual submitting it. Each entrant’s audio/ video may be posted to Lazer993.com. Lazer 99.3 has the right to determine, in its absolute discretion, what content is appropriate for the website and to reject and/or delete any material submitted which is determined to be inappropriate. Any audio/video submitted to Lazer 99.3 become the property of Lazer 99.3 and may be used in the future in any manner Lazer 99.3 sees fit.  Lazer 99.3 will select up to 20 entrants by scoring entries on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the worst, 10 being the best) in the category of overall performance. The selected entrants will be invited to perform one song (5 minutes or less in length) at The Hu Ke Lau in Chicopee on November 10th 2013 between the hours of 1PM & 3PM. The grand prize winner will be chosen by a panel of judges. Contestants will be judged on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the worst, 10 being the best) in the category of overall performance. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by a secret ballot by the panel of judges. This contest is open to any listener of Lazer 99.3 who is 16 years of age or older who has not won any other prize(s) from the radio station in the last thirty days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. Employees of Lazer 99.3, Springfield Rocks Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the Lazer 99.3 main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian. Grand Prize will be awarded within 10 business days of a grand prize winner being determined.
