THE HISTORY OF THE SANTA SPEEDO RUN
The very first Santa Speedo Run came to pass eight years ago on the streets of Boston as five brave dudes – wearing nothing but running shoes, Speedos and Santa attire – brazenly trotted down Newbury Street, all in the name of charity. Onlookers were amazed…and amused. Over the years, the Santa Speedo Run has become a tradition in Boston boasting over 250 men and women running last year, raising over fifty thousand dollars for Boston based charities. Satellite runs have sprouted up across the country over the years including Lazer 99.3's very own Western Mass Santa Speedo Run!
