Notoriously Internet-shy pop star Prince has finally embraced the online revolution by joining Twitter.

The singer, who has previously accused the online music industry of ruining his recording career, started tweeting on Tuesday under the account belonging to his band 3rd Eye Girl.

His first message was titled “Prince’s 1st Tweet” with the words “Testing 1, 2…” and the star later uploaded a picture of his dinner in his third post.

Prince also uploaded his first “selfie” self-portrait, but the picture appeared to be just mysterious wafts of smoke.
