Jake Owen is showing off his generous side by throwing a free concert for fans in Nashville.

The singer, who has been known to treat devotees to cinema trips and boat rides in the past, decided to host the gig after receiving a phenomenally positive response when he took to his Twitter.com page on Sunday to ask fans if they wanted him to plan a party.

Owen will take to the stage at the Summer Block Party on Monday in the parking lot of the Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) offices and the last-minute bash will feature catering from local food companies.

The star posted a snap of the invitation on his Twitter page, writing, “You said you wanted to party. I like to throw a party. Let’s do this… It’s a Monday night free show… Beer will be flowing… Nashville Food Trucks will be rocking with us. Bring yo-self (sic) and some friends.”
