Sofia Vergara tops TV’s ‘rich list’

Actress Sofia Vergara has been named the top earning TV star of 2013 by editors at Forbes magazine.

The “Modern Family” star brings in an estimated $175,000 per episode on the hit U.S. TV comedy, but her lucrative endorsements have catapulted her earnings to $30 million between June, 2012 and June, 2013.

Vergara serves as a spokesperson for Diet Pepsi, Cover Girl, Comcast, State Farm Insurance, and thyroid medication Synthroid. She also has a successful clothing line at U.S. retailer Kmart.

Ashton Kutcher comes in second with $24 million in earnings.

The “Two and Half Men” star earns more per episode than any other actor on TV with a $750,000-per-show salary.

Rounding out the top five are Jon Cryer ($21 million), Ray Romano ($16 million) and NCIS star Mark Harmon ($15 million).
