PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — Joan Jett and the Blackhearts will be pushing South Dakota as a vacation destination at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

South Dakota Tourism Secretary Jim Hagen says Jett will be on the Mount Rushmore American Pride float.

It’s the third year South Dakota’s tourism department has enlisted musicians for the parade.

Don McLean rode the float last year, and Neil Diamond did it in 2011.
