“A Charlie Brown Christmas” has topped a new U.S. poll to find the greatest holiday TV episode of all time.

The cartoon classic, which first appeared on U.S. TV screens in the mid-1960s has been ranked No. 1.

EXTRA: Black Friday 2013

It beat out Boris Karloff’s turn as the Grinch in the animated “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” 1986’s “Cheers” Christmas special and Seinfeld’s “Festivus” episode in TV Guide’s new survey.

Rankin & Bass’ “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” 1994’s “My So-Called Life” holiday episode and “Married… With Children’s” 1987 festive hit also make the top 10.
